If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 you need to apply for a school place for September 2021.

The application window closed on 15 January 2021.

Please note that the national deadline for applications (15 January 2021) has now passed. If you are applying now the late application process will be followed. Please refer to Page 11 in the Cornwall Council Admissions booklet on the right for more information.



What age pupils can apply?

Launceston Primary School is currently only accepting applications for pupils in EYFS/Reception for September 2021. This will gradually expand to fill Reception through to Year 6.

What do I do if I've made an application elsewhere?

Don’t worry if you have already made your application for a school place elsewhere, you can still apply to join us. Please follow the above steps to apply. Applications are warmly invited from families out of catchment area as well as our local community.

What do I do if this is my first time applying for a pupil place?

If this is the first time you are applying for a pupil place in school, it can be quite confusing. This is especially if you would like to apply for a place at a new school as two applications are required. To help, please follow the steps listed above.

Where is Launceston Primary?

Our brand new, purpose built primary school is 30 seconds off of the A30 at Launceston - perfect for working parents travelling to and from work across the South West. We are approximately 45 minutes drive from Exeter, Plymouth and Truro, approximately 30 minutes drive from Bude, Camelford and Bodmin.
